COVID POLICIES

Spruceton Inn view.jpg

We take the health and safety our guests, our staff, our neighbors, and our family seriously. We keep a close eye on the CDC guidelines and other information coming from our local government and Department of Health and continue to adjust our operation accordingly. More specifically:

  • While we don’t require proof of vaccination, we whole-heartedly recommend booking your stay for a time after you are fully vaccinated. Boosted is even better!

  • If requested, check-in and check-out can be contactless.

  • We’ve enhanced our cleaning protocol with EPA approved disinfectants and sanitizers, plenty of fresh air ventilation.

  • And please, DO NOT COME if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID, are unvaccinated and have been exposed to COVID within the past 14 days, are vaccinated and have been exposed within the past 5 days, or have tested positive for COVID within the past 10 days. You can call us at 518-989-6404 to discuss canceling/rebooking your stay.

We accept reservations online (scroll up to website header for link) and over the phone (518-989-6404). All reservations are paid in full upon booking.

All changes and cancellations must be made over the phone at 518-989-6404. Change/cancellation requests sent via email WILL NOT BE HONORED. (Btw, we adjusted this policy on 5/23. If you booked before then, the old policy still applies to you as it was stated in your confirmation email.)

  • Cancellations and changes made 30+ days of the reservation are refundable minus a $25 cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations and changes made 15-29 days before the reservation are refundable minus a $100 per room fee.

  • Cancelations and changes made within 14 days of the reservation are charged in full.

  • No-shows and early check-outs are charged in full.

WAITLIST

Spruceton Inn postcards.jpg

Want to stay on a certain date but we’re fully booked? Email us at info@sprucetoninn.com with the subject line WAITLIST and in the body of the email tell us:

  • The dates you’d like to stay. (Multiple dates are ok, all stays are two night minimum or three nights for holiday weekends.)

  • The best phone number to reach you.

Before you email us though, try looking at our calendar with a different browser— some folks have had success that way!

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

Room One exterior.jpg

You can check in for your weekend any time after 12 noon on Friday. Swing by Room One to pick up your key whenever you arrive. Check out is at 12 noon on Sunday, 12 noon on Monday on long weekends.

KIDS AND PETS

Spruceton Inn exterior sunset.jpg

Spruceton Inn is best suited to adults. That said, it’s not a rule written in stone and we have cots available first-come, first-served for an additional $50 per night, so drop us a line if you’re thinking about bringing along a kiddo. (Maximum one cot per room.) You're welcome to bring pack-n-plays for your itty bitty ones, just let us know before you arrive so we’ve got a proper headcount for your room.

Your pet is probably super cool, but unfortunately not everybody’s pets play well together, so we have a NO PET policy. We do accept service dogs, see the ADA guidelines for details.

GROUPS

We’re sorry to say that we do not host group reservations (except for on site weddings, see below) or hold rooms for events being held elsewhere. You and your pals are of course welcome to book individually online any time if you’d like to come together! And if you drop us a note, we’ll do our best to make sure your rooms are next to each other.

Weddings & OTHER PARTIES

Our calendar is officially open for 2025 celebrations! Check out how we party here.

SOCIAL & CLIMATE JUSTICE

Spruceton Inn signs in snow.jpg

In the spirit of the 15% pledge, we are committing at least 15% of our purchasing power—from lightbulbs to booze to toilet paper— to Black owned businesses. We’re also continuing to prioritize supporting eco-friendly and local businesses in this way too.

And drink up when you’re here! Like last year, we’re donating 50% of our bar profits to various social and climate justice focused nonprofits. Last year we supported Native Women’s Wilderness, Marsha P. Johnson Institute, Lilith Fund, Brown Folks Fishing, and Loveland Foundation. We’ll be announcing recipients monthly via Instagram.
